Booker T to join Raw announce team in David Otunga’s absence
In the absence of David Otunga, WWE announced Friday that Booker T will join Raw’s announcing team for the next six weeks.
According to WWE.com, Booker will sit alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves while Otunga is away taking part in the film Katrina.
Otunga was previously part of SmackDown Live’s announce team, but he was traded to Raw for Byron Saxton as part of the Superstar Shake-up.
Booker is best known for being a WWE Hall of Famer as an in-ring competitor with six world title reigns to his credit between WCW and WWE.
He began announcing for WWE in 2011, however, and has held myriad broadcasting roles for the company since then.
Most recently, the 52-year-old legend has served as a panelist for WWE’s Kickoff shows prior to pay-per-view events.
